Ride Around Paralio Astros: Discover Scenic Routes and Hidden Treasures
After two successful club rides in Ermioni and Vytina, we are thrilled to announce our third ride in February! This time, we’ll head to Paralio Astros for an unforgettable cycling adventure. Let’s gather once more and enjoy our annual cycling tradition.
Our bike ride begins in Athens, where we will meet and travel together to Paralio Astros. Upon arrival, we’ll share a welcoming dinner—a perfect chance to connect and prepare for the exciting days ahead. Paralio Astros, a picturesque coastal town nestled between the Argolic Gulf and lush greenery, offers stunning views, historic charm, and a relaxed atmosphere, making it the ideal base for our adventure.
Our first route takes us southwest of Paralio Astros, where we’ll explore charming villages like Kato Doliana and Platanos. Along the way, you’ll ride through beautiful rolling hills, pass by traditional stone-built houses, and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. This route offers a perfect blend of nature and local culture.
On our second and final ride, we’ll head north from Paralio Astros along the scenic coastal road to the picturesque village of Kiveri. Cycling along the shoreline, you’ll be captivated by the sparkling waters of the Argolic Gulf. On our return, we’ll take an alternate route through olive groves, experiencing the rural beauty of the area, and make a stop at Platanos. This quaint village, surrounded by greenery, offers a serene glimpse into local life.
After our final ride, we’ll gather for a lunch, savoring traditional dishes and sharing memories from the trip. Following this, we’ll begin our journey back to Athens, already looking forward to our next club ride.

Code of conduct
- During the ride, each cyclist should ride like being on their own, respecting all the road circulations rules and signs
- All cyclists should be in a position to be self sufficient (e.g. change a tube, indexing the gears). Also our group ethics expect the riders to act civilized (zero tolerance if they litter the environment) and promote the good conduct of this ride. Competition schemes are not welcomed.
- Our vehicles will be close to the riding group and will provide transfer or mechanical support on best endeavors terms.

18:30 – Shuttle to Paralio Astros. Estimated arrival time 21:00 .
21:00 – Estimated arrival at Vytina and check in to our accommodation.
21:30 – Dinner and briefing.
Saturday, 15 February
07:30 – Breakfast
10:00 – Start riding towards Kastanitsa and then turn back and cycle towards Paralio Astros..
14:00 – Estimated arrival at Paralio Astros.
Sunday, 16 February
07:30 – Breakfast
10:00 – Start riding towards Elaiochori and then back to Paralio Astros.
12:30 – Estimated arrival at Paralio Astros.
16:00 – Shuttle to Doukissis Plakentias metro station.
19:00 – Estimated arrival time at Doukissis Plakentias metro station.
