Ride through Mount Taygetus: A breathtaking ride
This is a flash one-day event inspired by a recent visit to a breathtakingly beautiful location, where we were utterly captivated by the vibrant spring colors, colorful flowers, and enchanting aromas. We were so moved by the beauty of this place that we decided to set up this event, because it’s something you truly need to experience too.
The day includes everything you need for a fantastic cycling adventure: an e-bike, vehicle support, and a delightful meal at the end of the ride in the city of Kalamata. The ride starts from a place called Leontario, and for 40km, the road gently and steadily climbs to the mountain’s summit at 1400m—the highest point the road reaches. From there, a joyful descent begins, ending in the town of Kalamata. Once there, you can dive into the water and enjoy a well-deserved lunch that we will have arranged for you.
It promises to be a marvelous day on the bike, and we are eager to share this magical place with you. We look forward to experiencing these unforgettable moments together!

Code of conduct
- During the ride, each cyclist should ride like being on their own, respecting all the road circulations rules and signs
- All cyclists should be in a position to be self sufficient (e.g. change a tude, indexing the gears). Also our group ethics expect the riders to act civilized (zero tolerance if they litter the environment) and promote the good conduct of this ride. Competition schemes are not welcomed.
- Our vehicles will be close to the riding group and will provide transfer or mechanical support on best endeavors terms.
Why everything in English?
Πολλά από τα μέλη μας προέρχονται από το εξωτερικό και για λόγους ευγένειας, τιμώντας την Ελληνική Φιλοξενία, αποφασίσαμε να έχουμε σαν επίσημη γλώσσα τα αγγλικά.

07:30 – Meet up at Doukissis Plakentias Metro Station (map).
10:00 – Estimated arrival at the starting point (Leontari) and briefing.
10:30 – Start riding to Kalamata through mount Taygetus. Estimated arrival time 14:30 – 15:00.
15:00 – Lunch.
16:30 – Shuttle back to Doukissis Plakentias Metro Station.
19:45 – Estimated arrival at Doukissis Plakentias Metro Station.
