Description
Numerous cites and references can be found in the ancient scripts for Parnitha Mountain. Parnitha is Attica’s highest mountain and today, with its gorges, plateaus, spruces and forests, it is an important slice of green near Athens. Recent governments have established a natural reserve in the area, so that the wild fauna and flora would be preserved.The Athenians enjoy pleasant walks and relaxing excursions in an unspoilt environment. Moreover, there are two shelters which offer accommodation to anyone who wishes to spend the night in the mountain.
