Description
Plaka is the most picturesque and oldest region of Athens. It has been inhabited from antiquity to the present day. Wandering around its narrow alleys and well preserved buildings, one gets the sense of Αncient Athens. The neighbourhood of Anafiotika is also located here. It is famous for the original Cycladic architecture, which has been replicated by craftsmen and workers coming from the small island of Anafi, right after the Nation’s Independence in 1821.
